Successful Travel & Adventure Show Exhibits

Congratulations, you've made a great investment in the country's largest and fastest growing Travel Show! To maximize your ROI and get the best possible results from the Travel & Adventure Show, your booth needs to attract as many attendees as possible by using everything from sharp visuals, to engaging attractions, to proper booth etiquette by your booth staff. In this 3 Part Blog-Series, Show Management at TAS will give you insider information on how to make sure your booth gets the traffic it deserves to bring in leads and sales from the Show's qualified attendees.

In part 1, we'll give you examples and tips on how to make your booth visually appealing to your future customers.

Booth Design
Thousands of highly qualified, affluent and experienced travelers flock to the Travel & Adventure Show in search of one thing: the perfect vacation. Most of them already know what destination or tour they're looking for before they even hit the Show Floor, which is why it is imperative to create a great first impression.

Did you know that 50% of attendees that pass your booth without stopping still take away some sort of impression about your booth? Making your booth attractive and setting up your booth correctly is the first step in driving traffic to your exhibit and ensuring that you have a successful Show.

Make Your Booth Attractive
Making your booth visually attractive is the first and one of the most important steps to drive traffic. From blown up pictures of your destination, to stand out logos and large displays, making sure that passersby know exactly what you're marketing before they set foot in your booth can be the difference from having someone stop and having someone pass by. Follow the following tips and examples to make sure attendees stop and take note of your destination or product:

  • Have sharp, eye-catching pictures of your destination
  • Create a bright, colorful logo
  • Bring large displays
  • Set up a video of vacationers enjoying your destination
  • Bring props from your trip that attendees can identify with - they're looking for an experience!
Booth Layout
One of the worst things that an exhibitor can do while designing their booth is pack it with too many things. Too much literature, too much information and too many attractions can present your booth as cluttered and uninviting. While you want to capture your audience's attention, you also want them to feel welcome and feel as though they're not going to be trapped once they step in your area. So,

  • If you have to, move the table to the side
  • Get rid of or hide your moving materials
  • If possible, give visitors a place to sit
Wildman Adventure Resort brought an inflatable raft from their destination!

Evansville moved their table to the side, opening up their whole booth to visitors

Traverse City used a bright, sharp image of their destination to attract visitors
